The Power Of Visualizations

Five ehowtwo visualization exercises i’ve come to discover from my own experiences.

1. Help your goals take shape.
Many of us have a weak vision of what we want. Be it because of distractions or a lack of motivation, some of us are bothered by a vague sense of uncertainty.

To correct this uncertainty, it is important to shut down once a week and be alone with your thoughts. Turn off the television, your computer, your phone, and listen to your senses. I do it often. In those moments, I ask myself if I am satisfied or if I want to change something in my life. Then I use visualization and meditation to build up a force of attraction.

This kind of session can clarify your inner vision, and if you follow through with this activity intently, you can achieve tremendous results.

2. You can “fake it” until you “make it.”
You’ve probably heard the expression, “Be careful what you wish for.” We should consider this when it comes to the way that we shape our perceptions of reality. When we engage in visualization exercises, we are creating a line of communication with the universe through which we can communicate our goals.

There’s a huge difference between wishing for something and working towards it. It is naive to simply sit on the couch and believe that things will fall into your lap. First, you need to take action. The action could be a tiny step, but that might be what it takes to get your momentum going.

3. Boost your Self-Awareness.
People often mistake self-confidence with self-awareness, and that can obstruct for personal development. Self-confidence is a belief in your ability to perform, while self-awareness is a skill; it’s capacity to know who you are.  A person with self-awareness is much more grounded and has more mental strength. Pair this with a great mindset, and you can move mountains.

4. Gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
Even if most visualizations sessions are linear experiences going from one step to the next, there is a possibility when exploring your thoughts you will get deeper insights into the way your mind works. You may become privy to unconscious signals that comprise your sense of self. The Law of Attraction builds upon this awareness. You must relearn that you have all the ingredients for success. Everything is already inside you, and only you can unlock your potential.

5. Reprogram your emotions.
If you are familiar with the “Law of Attraction” then you may know how visualization can trigger manifestation. What you may not understand is that the relationship between attraction and the emotions you experience. A good visualization session provides you with the tools to connect your aspirations with your feelings. Let’s try it here and now.

After you read this article, try visualizing your desires for a few minutes. Focus on the ideas you read here and reflect on the feelings you have. Close your eyes and imagine yourself on a beach. Hear the waves coming in, smell the suntan lotion on your skin. Hear the birds, put your feet on the warm sand, and feel the heat.
